The Gros dynasty dates back to 1830 in Vosne-Romanée. Michel Gros, the sixth generation of this dynasty, is known for combining tradition with innovation that leads to improve in both the vineyard and cellar. He owns a wide array of vineyards in Nuits-Saint-Georges, an appellation village of the Côte de Nuits.
Domaine Michel Gros blends wine from several vineyards within northern part of the Nuits-Saint-Georges, and its 2010 stands as an intermediary between Vosne-type wines and Nuits-type wines. Very ripe purple fruit, impressive rich and well-concentrated middle weight flavors. It is an age-worthy wine which is available for drinking from now on. |
